On August 31st, Bruce & Dave visited the site of the old house on Port Robinson Road, in Welland, Ontario, and shot more footage of the house remains and surrounding area. Shooting under ideal weather conditions, identical to their original shoot on July 19th, they were able to capture a new series of shots that will help them improve the edit of the feature documentary Breathing Port Robinson. Click on the above link to see the new production stills, concept video, and teaser trailers.
Recently, the Canadian band Loco Zydeco performed at The Silver Dollar Room in Toronto, Canada. It was to celebrate the release of their third full length album. Their performance was a high energy and groovy splash of fresh New Orleans style music. Definitely, a fun night to remember.
Bruce was asked to come on board to film the performance, and edit together a music video, for release later this year. He is currently collaborating with band members Ray Walsh and Les Graham to determine a direction for the edit.

Post Production Has Begun!
(Posted 08/07/08)
Bruce and Dave recently returned from their weekend shoot in the Niagara Falls region, for their feature documentary Breathing Port Robinson. Bruce visited the actual site of the house on Port Robinson Road for the first time. It turned out to be an exciting trip that allowed Bruce to develop an excellent point of reference for creating the cinematic look and feel of the feature film project.
A few years ago the house burned to the ground, and now all that is left are the charred remains and a cement cold room, covered by thick vines, plants, and tall grass. The following are a few production stills from the weekend shoot: the cold room, Bruce & Dave on location, and the smoke house.

Now, the post production stage has begun. After reviewing 10 1/2 hours of raw video footage, 35mm still photos, and separate telephone interviews, Dave and Bruce are excited to assemble this material into an original, compelling and intriguing documentary.
Please, visit www.portrobinsonroad.com for complete details, teasers, and production stills for Breathing Port Robinson, as well as the feature film project Port Robinson Road (currently in development).
