ABOUT
Bruce is a successful multi-disciplinary artist who has had an equal love for art and movies. He is emerging as a professional filmmaker in the Canadian industry focused on producing, writing, and directing and is the owner of Dark Chapter Pictures. Together with his Co-Producer/Co-Writer/Co-Director Dave McRae, they made "It's Me, Billy" Chapters 1 and 2 which are unofficial sequels to the 1974 film "Black Christmas". Chapter 1 was nominated for Best Cinematography in the short narrative category at the 2022 Annual CSC Awards (Canadian Society of Cinematographers), and both films received coverage from top online publications including Bloody Disgusting, Screen Rant, and Collider.
As a full-time focus, Dale has worked a large portion of his career in the field of learning and development in the Canadian film and television industry partnering with unions, guilds, and post-secondary institutions on ground-breaking educational initiatives while supporting the professional development of team members within Canada's largest motion picture equipment supplier, where he was the National Manager of Education and Training for over 12 years. He holds the designation of Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP).
Bruce started his career working on set in a variety of production roles from Production Assistant to a Lighting & Grip Technician, and partnered with producers and directors as a Storyboard & Concept Artist on a variety of independent, corporate, and commercial projects. He is a visionary, multi-talented visual artist who works in different mediums in his independent practice and has exhibited in several group shows over the past decade selling his art to a variety of clients.
